The 15 Best Android Apps of March 2025 – Unleashing iOS Exclusives, Motorola Widgets, and More!

Written by Massa Medi
Guess what, Android fans? There's finally a way to run some iOS-only apps on your Android device—even the ones that never saw the light of the Play Store. Introducing Touch HLE! While it only works with older iOS apps, it’s a total game-changer for reviving classics you may have thought lost forever. Have you ever dreamed of playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on Android, a legendary skateboarding game that hit iOS in 2010 but never went cross-platform? Or how about Rayman 2, the classic 3D platformer, and Fastlane Street Racing, the 2009 arcade racer that lived only on iOS? Well, now you finally can—and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Touch HLE comes with its own compatibility database, so you can browse and see which nostalgic apps might actually work on your device.
Stick around, because I’ll walk you through every step of getting these retro gems running on your Android—no confusion, just pure gaming joy.
Porting Motorola’s Slick Widgets to Any Android
Let’s be honest: Motorola's stock widgets have always looked so good, and I’ve been low-key jealous I couldn’t use them on other brands. But now, thanks to a clever app extractor out there, you can grab the Moto Widget APK and port it to any Android device. Fancy those adaptive widgets that elegantly float your date, time, weather, and more right on your home screen? It's all possible now—including that iconic circle-style clock widget that Motorola’s known for.
Not only do these widgets look slick, but they're also functional: tap any part to instantly jump to the corresponding app or setting. The weather module? Absolute chef’s kiss. Better yet, everything’s customizable—from shapes and typography to info density. A quick heads up: since this is a port, minor bugs might pop up and mileage may vary between phone models. But honestly, for a free and simple mod, who’s complaining?
Discovering the Best Apps – This Month’s Showdown
And believe it or not, the Motorola and Touch HLE highlights are just the beginning. I’m throwing down a full roster of 15 awesome apps for March 2025! By the way, last month you all showed so much love—we were this close to hitting 10,000 likes. So here's my promise: if this post hits 10K likes by the end of March, I’ll up the ante for April with 20 new apps instead of 15. More work for me, more apps for you!
So, drop a thumbs up (virtual or actual) and stick with me until the end. As always, I save my favorite app for last!
Revolutionizing Website Discovery – Curio Shuffle
There are over a billion websites out there, and somehow, I’m stuck in the rut of visiting the same familiar handful. Enter Curio Shuffle, a brand-new discovery app that feels like flipping through the best parts of the internet. Swipe through a curated selection—be it genuinely useful sites like Remove.bg (an insanely handy background remover), or Nextflix tv, which serves up random Netflix trailers if your streaming queue is feeling stale.
Need to send files instantly? Crosstalk lets you shoot files to another device with a single QR scan. Feeling quirky? Try wandaworld.com for interactive streamer play—or get truly random with theuselessweb.com, where you never know what’s coming next.
Seriously, this app is an internet rabbit hole that’s both productive and entertaining. And here’s a bonus: I’ve got 100 promo codes for the ad-free Pro version, courtesy of the developer. Find them on my Patreon—huge thanks to the dev for supporting our community!
Captions for All – Meet the Alternative to Pixel’s Live Caption
One of the most underrated Google Pixel features is Live Caption, which provides instant subtitles for any video, regardless of whether the app originally supported them. Many wished such a feature was on every Android device—and now, it is! The aptly named Live Caption app (creative, right?) not only gives you real-time captions, but also displays a floating translation window—letting you see both the original transcript and translation at the same time. Unlike Google’s own implementation, which makes you choose just one function, this boosts accessibility for everyone.
Heads up: it does require screen casting to work, which is more an Android system limitation than the app itself. Still, a fantastic option for instant, multi-language understanding.
Wireless Scans Without Drivers – ScanBridge
Got a printer that scans documents? ScanBridge is the no-fuss solution for getting those scans without tangled cables or third-party drivers. Simply load your paper, pick your printer (it should show up automatically), adjust resolution via the sleek gear icon, and hit Scan. Results pop up in seconds for you to save as PDF or image—no sweat, no drama. ScanBridge works via ESCL protocol, so it auto-detects compatible printers. Bonus: you can scan multiple files into a single PDF and, best of all, the app is 100% free and open source.
Shipping Gamechanger: Munbyn’s Inkless Label Printers
Shipping can be a headache—printing, cutting, and wrangling label sleeves is so 2024. Enter Munbyn Label Printers, today’s sponsor and a true eco-friendly innovation. Their printers use special thermal paper, creating crisp labels with just heat—no ink, toner, or ribbons required. Even if your label gets folded or crumpled, prints come out crystal clear. The Munbyn Print App auto-detects label sizes, so setup is a breeze whether you need food expiry labels, name cards, or brand stickers. The Fun Maker 2” portable printer comes with a built-in battery for hours of wireless printing and still delivers ultra-sharp images.
They even support Bluetooth (for Android/iOS) and USB-C (wired), with desktop printing on the 402B model. For small businesses, crafters, and everyone in between—Munbyn makes label printing painless and fun. Check them out via the link at the top of the description!
Next-Level Image Editing: Text Behind Image Editor
Want your Instagram photos to pop? Text Behind Image Editor creates an eye-catching effect where your text appears both behind and in front of your photo subject—perfect for attention-grabbing stories or posts. Stack multiple text layers, play with fonts, colors, and spacing, and experiment to your heart’s content. Some features require a paid upgrade, but the basics are totally free. Plus, I’ve secured 20 lifetime-version promo codes, available on my Patreon (expiring soon)!
New “Nothing” Phone, New “Nothing” Keyboard
The “Nothing” brand leaked the Nothing Phone 3A (classic move), so it’s the perfect time to try the N Keyboard—a minimalist keyboard designed to mimic the Nothing aesthetic. Letters and icons appear in a dotted style, set against a slick white/red or black/red theme depending on your dark mode setting. Built on Google’s open-source Latin IME, it’s as full-featured as Gboard, but way cooler looking. Want a fresh typing experience? Definitely give it a whirl.
Bring Galaxy S25 Live Wallpapers to Any Android
Even if the Galaxy S25 looks like just another iterative phone, its dynamic live wallpapers are genuinely stunning. The Galaxy S25 Lite Wallpaper app re-creates that mesmerizing glowing “S” animation—color transitions are buttery smooth, and you can tweak the palette or transition speeds to match your vibe. Prefer the Galaxy S24 effect? There’s an app for that too.
One UI Gallery: Fast, Clean, and for Everyone
The One UI Gallery app, previously only for Samsung Galaxy devices, has been ported for all Android users. While it leaves out some fancy Galaxy AI editors or face-recognition tools, what you do get is a shockingly fast, minimal gallery. Media loads instantly, you can keep sensitive photos private with the built-in vault, and there’s even a quirky feature that auto-generates motivational or fun images with random quotes.
Say it Louder with GigaText
GigaText does just one thing (but does it well): it blasts your message in massive text on a plain background. Think: silent communication at a raucous concert, or passing secret notes in class without whispering. Ad-free, no-nonsense permissions or hidden trackers—just a tiny cost if you want to customize the background or save message history, but you can always use the core features for free.
Master Your Tools: The All-in-One Toolbox App
Swiss army knives are cool, but what about a digital version? Toolbox packs a pile of neat utilities into a smart, ad-free package: URL shortener, custom roulette wheels, domain info lookups, speedometers, sound and network meters, a character picker for unusual text, and even a YouTube thumbnail grabber. Every tool is free, open source, and devoid of ads.
The Countdown Visualizer: Left
Left offers a new perspective on your time—literally. Input a future date (say, your birthday or a major event), define a hopeful lifespan, and it’ll display how many years you have left as a grid of dots. It’s a creative, if slightly existential, way to visualize your timeframe. Maybe a tad spooky—if you’d rather not dwell on time slipping away, stick to short-term countdowns!
Feel: The No-Nonsense Workout App
Home workouts can be daunting, but Feel makes everything easy. Select a routine, hit start, and let the app guide you through each exercise with handy timers. Need guidance? Swipe up for move explanations and tips. When the clock strikes zero, it rolls you straight into the next exercise. No ads, no fluff, and it's free/open source!
Alarm That Makes You Move: Super Alarm
Meet Super Alarm: the enemy of chronic snoozers everywhere. To disarm your alarm, you might need to solve a math problem, beat a memory game, hit a step-count goal, scan a specific object in your home, or shake your phone for a prescribed amount of time. The full version unlocks even more creative challenges. Of course, if torture isn’t your wake-up style, there's a normal mode... but where's the challenge in that?
Favorite App: Follow I Get
Shout out to Garabhatia official from Reddit for suggesting Follow I Get. This simple widget lets you track your Instagram followers or any other account in real-time, right on your home screen. Not the most powerful tracker out there yet, but definitely brimming with potential—future updates might broaden it to sites like YouTube or TikTok. Best of all, it’s free and open source.
How-To: Playing Old iOS Apps & Games with Touch HLE
All right, let’s dive into the much-requested setup guide for Touch HLE—your ticket to classic iOS apps on Android. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown, so even if you’ve never rooted a phone or touched developer settings, you’ll be just fine:
- Prep Required Apps: Download Shizuku, which lets you grant special permissions without root. Also install a capable file manager (e.g., Solid Explorer File Manager).
- Set Up File Manager: Launch Solid Explorer and grant it all necessary permissions.
- Configure Shizuku:
- Open Shizuku and hit “Pairing”; allow notification permissions.
- If prompted, enter Developer Options:
- Go into your device Settings > About Phone > Software Information.
- Tap the build number 7 times, entering your passcode if required, to enable Developer status.
- Return to Shizuku and tap “Developer Options” in-app.
- Scroll down, enable Wireless Debugging, and tap “Pair Device with Pairing Code.”
- Respond to the system prompt, enter the pairing code, and hit “Send.”
- Back in Shizuku, hit “Start” on the main page and authorize Solid Explorer under “Authorized Applications.”
- Download Your Chosen App/Game: Go to the Touch HLE App Compatibility Database (link below). Pick a well-rated app (five stars is best; anything less may crash). For this walkthrough, let’s use Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, which works best on version 1.0.2.
- Locate and Fetch the IPA File: Visit archive.org, search for the specific app and version, and download the IPA file using Chrome’s “Find in Page” feature for quicker navigation.
- Move the IPA to the Touch HLE Folder:
- Open Solid Explorer, find the file in Downloads, long press then tap the cut icon.
- Swipe right to access the next panel, navigate to Android/data/org.touchhle.android/files/touchhle/apps.
- Paste the IPA into this directory—look for the orange paste button at the bottom right.
- Launch and Play: Open Touch HLE, and your selected game (e.g., Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2) should now appear. Just tap it to launch and play an iOS game on your Android device. Retro magic, right?
Note: Not every app—even top-rated ones—will work seamlessly. Some may crash, and compatibility still depends on your device and Android version. But hey, experimentation is all part of the fun.
